If you have a disability or having difficulty accessing internet based services and wanting to make or change an appointment please ring 02 6056 1166 for assistance Monday to Friday 9am -12.30pm and 1.30pm -4.30pm.
Appointment types include :
Standard ConsultationThese are 15-minute appointments with a GP. They are suitable for most acute medical problems, and are best suited to one main issue. Often one or two small other items can be included, such as a repeat script or blood pressure check.
Long Consultation These are 30-minute appointments with a GP, which allows for the care of more complex concerns or when you have a list. If you have a few things you want to discuss, or if you are wanting a check-up and have not seen a doctor for some time, this appointment type may be the most suitable for you.
Skin CheckThese are 30-minute appointments with a GP for a ‘top-to-toe’ check of your skin. These checks are often recommended for people who have already had skin cancers removed, a family history of melanomas, or have multiple spots that they are concerned about.
Cervical Screening Test (Pap)Staying up to date with your Cervical Screening Tests is one of the best ways to avoid cervical cancer. You can book these checks with one of our doctors.
Mental Health Care PlanThese are 30-minute appointments with a GP which includes time completing an assessment and then developing a plan for your mental health. This plan can then be used to refer you to Medicare subsidised visits to psychology services (you can receive up to 6 visits from the initial plan). These plans cannot be completed in a Standard 15-minute Consult. Telehealth through video link Weekend and as required. Please ask for a telehealth appointment if you have respiratory symptoms. Quick phone consultation Available daily at a private fee. Cancellations and Non AttendanceWe require any cancelling or rescheduling of appointments to be done by CLOSE OF BUSINESS THE DAY BEFORE your appointment. Those patients who fail to give the required notice will incur a fee from $35.00 depending on the type of appointment missed. This Non Attendance fee will need to be paid before any further appointments can be offered. If you have made your appointment through HotDoc, you can also cancel it the same way. SMS RemindersWe have an SMS reminder system so that all patients with recorded mobile numbers will be contacted 24 hours prior to their appointment. If you do not wish to receive these messsages, please let us know and we will opt you out of the system. Please note that we cannot guarantee that an SMS will be successfully sent, so please do not rely solely on these reminders. Outside Clinic HoursFor emergencies please call 000If you require urgent care - Wodonga Hospital Emergency Department is opposite our front door. Phone 02 6051 7111. After hours telehealth appointments are available through HotDoc. You can also ring 0408 963 490 for medical advice ( Fees apply. Please have your credit card details ready when you ring). Interpreter ServicesWe can assist in arranging interpreter services for any patient requiring assistance. Please let us know when making your appointment. Walk-in appointmentsWalk in appintments will be traiged and seen as clinically appropriate or offered the next avaialable appointment.
Home VisitsHome visits are available, at the discretion of the treating doctor, to existing regular patients whose condition prevents them from being able to attend the Clinic.

BILLING AND FEES
Hospital Street Doctors is a Private Billing practice. Patients with complex chronic diseases and financial constraints with a Commonwealth consession card may be bulk billed at the doctors discretion.

rESULTS AND REPEAT REferrals
ResultsThe Doctors request investigations as an important part of your presenting health concern. Therefore, it is required that a follow up appointment is made to discuss these results and progress.
Repeat ScriptsWe now offer an online service if you would like a script done without seeing the Doctor. The cost for this is $25.75 by pickup or escript. The following conditions apply:
This service is only available for existing patients.
Prescriptions for addictive medication including benzodiazepines and opiates, and scripts needing a permit or authority cannot be provided using this service.
Requests for a prescription may take up to three business days to be processed.
Each prescription request is assessed by your doctor who will approve or decline the request on clinical grounds. If the request is declined, you will be advised to make an appointment in-person.
A fee is charged for each request. If your request is declined, you will receive a refund.
Repeat ReferralsThese can also be ordered on line at a cost of $25.75 for pickup .The following conditions apply:
Referrals cannot be backdated.
We can only provide repeat referrals, if you have already seen the specialist before for the same problem/medical condition.
Your GP may not be able to provide a repeat referral if they have not seen you recently.
If the request is declined, you will be adviced to make an appointment to see the GP.

Identification at each Interaction
We need to correctly identify you at each interaction.
In accordance with RACGP accreditation standards and in the interest of providing you with safe quality healthcare, our practice will ask you for three approved identifiers at each encounter.
The details we will routinely ask you for at each encounter are:1. Name2. Date of birth 3. Address No matter how well known you are to us, we are required to check these at every patient interaction. Three point identification is about safety and confidentiality. Thank you for your understanding!
